There is an ever-increasing number of edentulous patients seeking more cost-effective full-mouth rehabilitation treatment options. Implant-retained overdenture treatment has proven to be less expensive than alternative fixed treatment plans. In addition to the advantages of removable overdentures, patients can enjoy most of the quality-of-life benefits experienced by patients with fully fixed dentures. However, when navigating the many choices in overdenture strategies, implant placement options and attachments may be the most challenging part of the treatment plan. This course not only focuses on a variety of overdenture attachment options, but also explores the key factors in deciding which attachment and/or implant attachment combination may be best for your treatment plan. In this in-depth two-part combined lecture and hands-on session, you will also learn and perform various restorative techniques discussed during the lecture, including the placement of small-diameter implants and traditional overdenture straight and angle-corrected abutments placed on conventional implants.
